Two Paintings gossip about the museum visitors.

Jessica

One of the first steps of creating my film was creating Jessica. I used Nomad then ZBrush for her modeling, then moved her to Maya where she was retopologized and rigged using Advanced Skeleton. Her texture was made in substance painter is meant to look painterly and read well under Tradigital's Paint Filter.

I cashed my animation and moved it to blender to utilize a geometry node based filter in Blender by Tradigital. This process involved the most trial and error. My main goal was to have Jessica be readable and for the background to move along with her. 

The first photo is an exploration of the filter, and the other photos are the finished renders of Jessica as well as the background.

Backgrounds

These backgrounds are pretty simple. I modeled out a few frames and traced over them in a blocky and colorful style to best express the characters emotions. Having a simple scene meant I was able to make multiple iteration of one shot to further the color story along.
